Welcome to the Nannerch Players
The Nannerch Players are a dedicated group of enthusiastic amateur actors all living in and around the beautiful North Wales village of Nannerch.
We perform at least two shows a year. One full-length play performed in the summer months (usually May– June) and a pantomime, just before Christmas.
The full-length play is very popular with actors and audiences alike and its inspiration is usually drawn from the cast. We all have our favourites and this is our chance to indulge ourselves. These plays could be a short murder/mystery or a gritty and intense love story, a light-hearted comedy or a classic Shakespearean masterpiece.
Our annual pantomime is our chance to let off steam. In classic pantomime style, we always opt for colourful costumes, over-the-top characters, fabulous sets and hilarious scripts. We frequently involve the village children in the production and for those who just like to watch, engage them in the performance. Our pantomimes are always a sell-out.
Current and recent productions include;
This year 2024, we performed an outdoor production of Alice in Wonderland at the beautiful Penbedw Estate and our panto was Treasure Island. During 2023 we performed, Bunkered a comedy by Lynn Brittney and Mother Goose by Ben Crocker. In 2022 we performed Obvious Guilt by Ethan Bortman and Beauty and the Beast pantomime by Ben Crocker. In 2021 we performed two One Act Plays, A Twitch in Time & A Field Full and Scrooge’s Christmas instead of a panto. Previously in 2019 we performed a farce called Don’t get you vicars in a twist and Dick Whittington panto. In 2018 we performed a murder mystery, Death at the Island View Hotel and a play about war veterans in a care home trying to escape to Normandy for D Day celebrations in 1994 called, The Magnificent Seven.
Rehearsals
We rehearse every Wednesday evening in the village hall and we would very much welcome you to join us either in an acting role or to help with technical or backstage.

Our History
The Nannerch Players Amateur Dramatic Society was formed in 1984 and we have performed at least two plays a year since then come rain or shine …. mostly rain!
Our aim is simple, to enjoy putting on plays that are in turn enjoyed by a wide range of audiences.
We are both self-funding and not-for-profit. We do not rely on grants but exist through ticket sales, some fundraising and the support of the local community.
